诚毅科技馆设计目标定位为：“全国唯一科技与互动游乐结合的，面向各年龄阶层的主题性科技馆”。作为一家大型科技馆，首先要从馆内展陈设计理念上进行创新。该项目确立了“自然之力、翱翔蓝天、扬帆远航、信息通讯”四个鲜明的主题，整体设计既把握游乐互动的特点又遵循科技馆发展趋势，呈现出内容与形式、与效果的统一，体现游乐互动之趣，彰显科技力量之奇。厦门诚毅科技馆建成后，必将成为全国科技馆产品理念的新旗帜，以及厦门乃至全国科技爱好者的目的地。
The Chengyi Science & Technology Museum has the following objective: “Creating China’s first Science and Technology Museum, by featuring a combination of technology and interactive play, suitable for all ages.”This park features four distinct themes: “The Force of Nature, the Blue Sky, the Sailing Ship, and the Digital Communications World”. These are designed to showcase the interactive nature of the various themes portrayed in the museum, bring out a unified content and form, and reflect the charm and power of science and technology. The Xiamen Chengyi Science and Technology Museum will be a great showcase location when completed, and is set to become a destination of choice for technology enthusiasts in Xiamen and throughout the country.
